FIA GT Championship - Silverstone 2009

Last week I saw a post from StuZ about some spare places on a Donnington track day.

I contacted the company, Classic Dreams Ltd and in due course was offered a place as their guest on the day.

Classic Dreams offer hospitality suites at Silverstone, Donnington and have a Yacht at this years Monaco GP and I have to say are a really good bunch of guys who know how to entertain.

Not only did they invite me, but provided an instructor who showed me how to drive Donnington and took time to sort out some bad habits.

I had never met them before, have never been a customer but was made to feel very welcome and I have to say enabled me to enjoy one of the best track days of my life.

So to Matt and Patrick of Classic Dreams a very big thank you for the day and for bringing Chris Price to instruct us all.

Chris was an inspiration, If I attended a dozen donny days I would not have learned as much as i did in the few sessions we had together.

By way of a thank you I repaid the debt as only a Selocer can, by demonstrating to Patrick how to take the craner curves flat with cold tyres and brakes.

He wont forget that for a while....and nor will I but a strong detergent will help.

 Classic Dreams Track Day - Donington Park 2009

Hi Matthew

Just wanted to thank you again for the great day we had at Silverstone last Sunday.

I got the tickets for A's 50th Birthday and thankfully he decided to take me as his guest! We thought your service was very professional and yet relaxed and friendly.

The food was lovely and plentiful and the hospitality suite very nicely furnished to a high standard. We also thought that the package was good value.

Last time we went to Silverstone together was for A's 40th birthday when I bought him a driving experience. I can assure you that we won't be waiting until he's 60 before we return and would be very happy to book through Classic Dreams again.

LMS 2008 Championship

Hi Matt

Just wanted to say that it was my brother in law's and my first time to Silverstone and first time booking hospitality too and you didn't let us down! We had a great weekend and your happy friendly team really made the Sunday for us. It was great having a base where we could relax, check out the circuit TV and have a cuppa at the same time! The breakfast and lunch were superb too.

We will definitely be visiting you again and thank you once again for an absolutely sterling service.

I meant to send this last night, but after the usual chaos on the M1 and torrents of rain on the M18, we had an early night.

I just wanted to write to thank you for an entertaining day at the motor racing. Both the facilities and service were excellent. There was the perfect balance between professional arrangements, excellent food and friendly, courteous and helpful staff. The combination of being able to get the atmosphere of the event with the external viewing gallery and pit walk and then being able to sit inside with drink while the action is live on TV was perfect.

I hope to be using your facilities again both for business and personal use and will recommend you to my colleagues.
